Welcome to the official registration for the Wickedbeards Cosplay Showdown at ScareFest Weekend—a signature event that honors the heart, soul, and craftsmanship of our cosplay community.

This year’s Showdown carries special meaning, as we pay tribute to Jeff Cochran, aka Wickedbeard, whose passing earlier this year left a deep impact on all of us. Jeff wasn’t just a master cosplayer—he was a guiding force at ScareFest, a mentor to many, and a beloved member of our extended family. His jaw-dropping builds, infectious enthusiasm, and unwavering devotion to his “ScareFest Family” helped shape the identity of this event for over a decade. Jeff set a high standard for what it means to show up with passion, heart, and creativity.

In his honor, the 2025 Showdown will be hosted by his son, Ryan, and longtime friend and fellow cosplayer, Michael. Together, they’ll carry on Jeff’s legacy and bring the same spirit of support, showmanship, and love for the craft that defined him.

Pre-Judging: Saturday, 2PM–4PM (online sign-up required)

You will select a judging block when registering.

Top 20 finalists will be selected to advance.

Finalist Round: Saturday, 6PM – Ballroom 2

Finalists will take the stage to compete LIVE for top honors.

Top 3 will receive prizes, and one will be crowned Best in Show. No categories, the best of the best. $500 prize for first place winner.

Contestants will select a group below, and arrive 15 minutes before the listed time to line up. If you miss your group we will do our best to get you added on at the end of the following group.

This event is open to all cosplay styles and experience levels. Whether you're a seasoned competitor or stepping on stage for the first time, we invite you to be part of something truly special.
